My Journey:
From Therapist to Health Advocate

Over decades of working as a therapist and coach, I’ve always told people that my ultimate goal is to work myself out of a job. Instead, while our society has become more aware of the importance of our mental well-being and my profession has created many new approaches to healing, the reality of reaching my goal is nowhere in sight.

For years, life has become increasingly more complex and stressful, and the incidence of people living with painful mental health challenges has risen dramatically. Further, our overall physical health has declined significantly, with a precipitous rise in autoimmune disease and other chronic illnesses such as Type 2 diabetes. Is this a coincidence? I don’t think so.

A Personal Struggle with Health

On a more personal note, I’ve struggled with my own challenges with emotional and physical health. I’ve been treated for clinical depression, anxiety, ADHD, and the painful aftermath of professional burnout more than once. I’ve grappled with a lifelong pattern of losing and gaining weight along with the inevitable poor body image that accompanies this struggle.

The Turning Point:
Discovering Bio-Hacking

About ten years ago, after hitting an emotional and physical bottom with my health, I discovered the world of what’s known as bio-hacking, and like computer hackers who meticulously fine-tune their path to success, so it has been for me with figuring out how to manage my own biology. Today I love my life and my health, and the success I’ve experienced personally adds to my commitment to bring a message of hope to countless others who have stories similar to mine.

A Holistic Approach to Healing

For me, and for the rising number of people researching the connection between metabolic and mental health, one thing has become clear: we need a new system of healing, one that offers a truly holistic approach. The vision for my work therefore comes from years of research as well as lived experience, and offers a simple yet radical idea: when it comes to healing your mind and body you are your own therapist.

When you become equipped with the right tools, knowledge, and support, you can take charge of your own health and discover the natural joy of living we are all meant to have.

The Power of Joy and Transformation

I believe that joy isn’t something that happens by accident, or something that we need to earn. Rather, it is our birthright. Through my work with you, I’m committed to helping you to not just survive but to thrive. Let’s get started on your path to intentionally creating the life you want—and maybe change the world while we’re at it!
